cakes, walk, swim, attend almost any sporting activity, sing, and play
piano. I do give piano lessons in my "spare" time and sing

Career |
|
|
My first
teaching position was Chapter I Reading for the Hoven Public
Schools. The next year I remained in Hoven, SD, but went to
teach the 4th grade at the private school. I remained at the private
school for 2 more years, but teaching first grade and all of the
elementary music classes.
After 4 years in
Hoven, SD, I moved to Corsia, SD for one year. There I
taught K-12 vocal music and 3-6 Chapter I Math classes.
The following year I
moved to Herried, SD where I taught 4th grade and coached the dance
team anc cross country team for 4 years. It was during this time
that I attended the NASA teachers workshop.
From Herried, SD, I
moved to Decatur, AL. There I worked with autistic children with the
Ivaar Lovas Behavior Modification program.
After two years in
AL, I moved back to SD. We moved to Watertown where I finished the
spring of the year substitue teaching. The next year I commuted to
Revillo, SD to teach K-12 vocal music and assisted in the resource room
for one year.
The following year I
joined the Watertown School District, where I am currently teaching.
The first 3 years I taught the elementary music classes at the Roosevelt
and Garfield elementary schools. Since then I have been teaching at
Roosevelt and Jefferson elementary schools and have added students at
Garfield.
I have had many
wonderful teaching experiences and treasure each and everyone of
them. I have met such wonderful people and educators. It is
the culmination of all of these experiences and people that I have been
able to develop my skills and become a successful educator. I would
like to thank all of the people who have helped me on my way.
Thanks!!
