Beliefs and values in education
Our children, our students are the future.  As educators we are in the position to guide these students to lead our world in a positive direction.  We are there to guide our students in the acquisition of skills and beliefs that they can use in their daily lives.  The amount of knowledge for any of us to learn is limitless, therefore it is an impossible task for us to teach all that there is to learn.  All we can do is make sure our students have the basic skills to become life-long learners.   We can encourage, nurture, and challenge our students as they proceed on their journey. This requires teachers to constantly evaluate and assess what and how they are teaching.

Views of technology use
We now live in a global society where we have instant contact with anyone in any part of the world.  Our students have been brought up in this world using the technology that connects the world.  If we are to engage our students we will need to keep up with the latest uses of technology and incorporate it in our lessons.  Our students will need to use this same technology in their career paths.  If we can effectively incorporate the technology in our classes to guide their learning, they will be able to see the relevance of what they are doing.  Relevant and engaging lessons are keys to successful learning.
