Technological Tools

Technology is changing the dynamics of education. There are new tools that can be used to enhance education in development as I type. The key word is "enhance" education. The process of learning really hasn't changed as much as the tools we use. Our students' minds may process information a little differently and a little more quickly but all you need to do is watch a small child learn and see the miracle of the mind at work. Students want to be engaged, active participants in their education. They want what they are learning to be relevant and interactive. The tools that I have become acquainted with during the MSET program will help me achieve that learning environment for my students only if I utilize a sound platform for instruction. I have always sought to find whatever it takes, searching for any way to make connections for my students. The information that I have gained through my classes in this program has given me the confidence to experiment with a wide variety of the technical tools available. I know I will never know all there is to know about these tools but I have the back ground knowledge to explore. I hope that my students will see me exploring and therefore be inspired to explore all the possibilities that are available to them.
